Lahore, August 3 (TNS): The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday has directed to take measures and set a deadline to bring back stranded Pakistani passengers in China till Monday.
The hearing of the suo-moto notice resumed by a three member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar.
Supreme Court has summoned owner of private airline on August 7 and has directed Civil Aviation to report about flight’s take off.
Private airline’s regional director told the court that all flights were suspended except Saudi Airlines, in Guangzhou city of China.
Flights from Lahore to Guangzhou only fly from Pakistan, he added.
On this CJP remarked,that China airline fly from Islamabad to Guangzhou daily. Unsafe plane should not be sent for the stranded passengers”.
Earlier, on Thursday, CJP took notice of the incident over media reports which revealed that at least 300 Pakistani passengers were stranded in Guangzhou city of China due to techinal issues in the aircraft.
