Rehman Malik condemns Chaghi, GB terror attacks

Islamabad, Aug. 11 (TNS): Senator A Rehman Malik Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior on Saturday strongly condemned the terror attacks in Chaghi and Gilgit Baltistan.

At least three cops were martyred and two others were injured in Kargah where terrorists ambushed police post in wee hours on Saturday.

He expressed deep sorrows over the loss of precious lives and expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the victim families, a press release said.

Malik also denounced suspected suicide attack which targeted Chinese engineers in Chaghi district of Balochistan.

Three Chinese nationals were among six sustained injuries on Saturday in an suspected suicide attack on a convoy of Saindak Copper-Gold project employees.

Malik termed the attack on Chinese workers an attack on CPEC and a move to destabilize Pakistan.

The senator asked the center and provincial governments to increase the security of Chinese workers across the country.

Rehman Malik also sought reports from IGs Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan and asked top police officials to submit details of these attacks before Senate Standing Committee on Interior.
