Malik felicitates all Pakistanis on eve of 71st Independence Day

Islamabad, Aug. 13 (TNS): Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator Rehman Malik has extended heartiest felicitations to all Pakistanis living within the country and abroad on the auspicious occasion of the 71st Day of Independence.
In a message, Senator Rehman Malik said that August 14th is the most momentous date in our national calendar and also in the history of the world as back in 1947 this day, our long and hard struggle for independence and to get rid of foreign domination was blessed with success and our beloved motherland Pakistan came into being. He expressed that on this day our heads bow in thankfulness before Allah for blessing us with a most beautiful country where we live with prestige, freedom and happiness. Expressing his love for the founders of Pakistan, Senator A. Rehman Malik said that on this occasion we must not forget our founding fathers who under the leadership of Quaid Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave us an independent state. He said that we salute and pay rich tributes to the father of our nation Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his faithful companions.

Senator A. Rehman Malik said that as a nation still we are far away from the dream of the Quaid and untidily we have to struggle to fulfill Qaid e Azam’s dream for what he saw as Pakistan. He urged the nation to undertake on this day of independence to make Pakistan -a truly peaceful, prosperous, progressive and democratic country. He expressed that today Pakistan is facing numerous problems including internal and external threats as just yesterday three policemen were martyred in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chinese Engineers were attacked in Dilband Balochistan to destabilize Pakistan.

Therefore to cope up with escalating challenges and threats, we should join hands for peaceful, progressive and prosperous Pakistan by keeping away our political and other differences, he insisted.
