Lahore, August 17 (TNS): Pakistan Cricket Board’s anti corruption tribunal on Friday has slapped a ban of 10 years on Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed from all forms of cricket pertaining to Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot fixing probe.
The three member bench of the anti corruption tribunal announced the verdict and issued a charge sheet on Nasir Jamshed which includes violation of 5 Articles of Anti corruption code of conduct.
The tainted cricketer has been accused of non-cooperation, contact with bookies, persuading other players of spot-fixing and concealing facts.
Earlier the 28-year old had been banned for a year in spot fixing case for non-cooperation with PCB’s spot fixing investigation during the 2nd edition of PSL.
The Pakistani opener has also been banned for life from holding any office in PCB or any role in management/coaching in the future.
Nasir Jamshed is the 5th player involved in PSL spot fixing case, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Nawaz, Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have all been either banned or fined.
