Sardar Usman Buzdar a strong candidate for CM Punjab: Sources

Islamabad, August 17 (TNS): In a parliamentary meeting held in Banigala on Friday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Chairman and Prime Minister to be Imran Khan is considering to opt for Sardar Usman Buzdar as the next Cheif Minister of Punjab.

According to sources, “The candidate who hails from South Punjab is being considered on the recommendation of PTI leader Jahangir Tareen.

PTI’s Sardar Usman Buzdar emerged victorious in PP-286, Dera Ghazi Khan against independent candidate Khwaja Nizam-ul-Mehmood in general elections, he bagged 27,027 votes.

He contested the elections on the party ticket of PML-N in 2013 general elections.

The PTI leader’s father has been Member of Punjab Assembly (MPA) three times in the past.

Sardar Usman Buzdar is a masters degree holder in political science and was also part of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) from 2002-2008.
