PM Imran Khan visits GHQ, attends security briefing

Rawalpindi, August 30 (TNS): The Premier of Pakistan Imran Khan paid a visiit to General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday in Rawalpindi and got briefed about the internal security measures of the country and defence.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Army’s media wing, the premier was received on arrival by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Ministers of Defence Pervez Khattak, Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Quershi, Finance Asad Umar and Information minister Fawad Chaudhary are accompanying the PM.

Imran Khan’s visit follows after the two leaders had an official meeting as chief executive and army chief on Monday this week at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The two had expressed the resolve to continue efforts for enduring peace in the country.
