Man impersonating himself as Staff Officer to Chairman NAB arrested

Rawalpindi, Aug. 30 (TNS): Rawalpindi Police arrested a culprit involved in fraud cases by impersonating himself as Staff Officer to Chairman NAB.
According to FIR registered in Morgah Police Station, the culprit Muhammad Ashfaq s/o Muhammad Ramzan Khan bearing CNIC No. 12101-14982485-5 approached Brig Tariq Saeed, administrator DHA, through mobile no. 03499990096 whereby he introduced himself as Mr. Nauman, Staff Officer to Chairman NAB and insisted to award civil world contract to his aide Shakil Kiyani.
Upon verification by the administrator, it was revealed that the said person is impersonating as NAB officer (Staff Officer to Chairman NAB) in order to achieve his nefarious designs.
The information was received and verified by I&V cell in NAB Headquarters, Islamabad which substantiated the allegation.

FIR

The said impersonator on August 29 along with his aide Haseeb Ahmed Khan attended the office of Administrator DHA, situated in phase-I, that is area under his jurisdiction in connection with their demand.
The said individuals were intercepted by NAB team therein and they were required to vindicate their position, however they could not come up any satisfactory explanation.
It was also observed that Muhammad Ashfaq was a habitual offender and then FIR No. 803 dated 08/12/2017 U/S419/417 PPC and 25 telegraph act has been registered against him with Police Station City Tank, KP on alike allegation.

Moreover, a similar incident was reported by the administration of M/S MOL Pvt. Ltd. I&V Cell NAB HQs whereby Muhammad Ashfaq demanded Rs 90 million through blackmailing by impersonating as Assistant Director NAB and attempted to extort such huge amount from the said company.
TNS has learnt that this scandal is just a tip of the ice burg as top officials in NAB have connection with this impersonator and other offenders.
TNS will publish an investigation report very soon to reveal these black sheeps within ranks of anti-graft watchdog.

TNS has also learnt that the arrestee has been having ‘close relations’ with former DG NAB Rawalpindi Nasir Iqbal Mirza and Director Rizwan.
