Mega Projects Case: SC summons CM Punjab Usman Buzdar

Islamabad, August 30 (TNS): The Supreme court summoned newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday in a case pertaining to giving contracts to private companies of important mega projects in Punjab.

Earlier, the apex court took suo-motu regarding the CM awarding important mega projects in the province to private companies and has now summoned today at 4pm.

Managing Director of Punjab Metro Bus Authority Sibtain Fazal Haleem, who appeared before the court today,said that the concerned parties in this case will resolve the matter among themselves and to summon the CM Punjab was not required.

In reply to this Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar directed the concerned parties to hold a meeting within the court and inform the bench by 2pm whether there is any need to summon the CM in this matter.
