Jakarta, Sept. 1 (TNS): India won the bronze medal in Men’s Hockey at the Asian Games 2018 after registering a 2-1 win over Pakistan.
Akashdeep Singh scored the opening goal for India in the third minute of the match.
With no teams scoring a goal in the next two quarters, the match went to an intense fourth quarter.
Harmanpreet Singh made the most of the penalty corner awarded in the 50th minute to double India’s lead.
A goal from Muhammad Aziz brought Pakistan back into the match but it was not enough to win them the match.
