Kabul, Sept. 2 (TNS): Afghan patients and students residing in jurisdiction of Consulate General of Pakistan in Jalalabad may contact Pakistan Embassy in Kabul for issuance of visas, the Pakistan embassy said on Sunday.
“The Embassy of Pakistan Kabul wishes to announce till the closure of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jalalabad to accommodate patients and students residing in jurisdiction of Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Jalalabad may contact Pakistan Embassy in Kabul for issuance of visas,” read a statement from Pakistani diplomatic mission in Kabul.
Such visa applicants may send their applications through their representatives along with medical record and student bonafide certificate to the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul.
Separately, Pakistan Ambassador to Kabul Zahid Nasrullah also called on Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani and discussed various issues of mutual interest including the peace process.
Rabbani stressed over the immediate probe into the closure of visa service in Jalalabad Consulate and urged for the immediate opening of the facility.
Both sides discussed improvement in political, security and economic ties.
