Islamabad, Sept. 5 (TNS): Indian Deputy High Commissioner was summoned to Foreign Office in Islamabad on Wednesday and a strong protest was lodged with him over recent Indian ceasefire violations on the Line of Control which resulted in martyrdom of one civilian.
The Indian side was urged to respect the 2003 Ceasefire arrangement and maintain peace on the LOC.
The Indian side was also asked to permit UNMOGIP to play its mandated role as per the UN Security Council resolutions.
