Islamabad, Sept. 10 (TNS): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has said direction to the government to address issue of water scarcity is one of the biggest achievements of the Supreme Court during previous judicial year.
In his address on the commencement of the new judicial year in Islamabad on Monday, he said that we were overwhelmed by the nation’s response in the form of generous donations for this national cause and the confidence the nation placed in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
He said while this year the rate of disposal was higher than the last five years, the number of pending cases nevertheless increased slightly.
