KARACHI, Sep 19 (TNS): The Surjani Town police busted a four member gang of inter-provincial drug dealers during raid here.
The police conducted the raid at Ali Muhammad Goth Surjani Town and seized 163 kilo grams fine quality hashish from a house.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West Dr. Muhammad Rizwan said that the inter-provincial gang accused were identified as Sardar Ali, Behar Ali and Lagpar used to transport the drugs in the sacks of rice through buses plying from Peshawar while conceling in house and subsequently supply to other parts of the metropolis.
However, during the raid an accomplice succeeded to flee from the spot.
SSP Rizwan said during his posting the district West police registered as many as 419 cases under drug act and 12 notorious drug peddlers were sent to jail.
The team of Surjani Town police station got commendation certificates and cash reward on their successful action against the drug gang.
