ISLAMABAD, July 12 (TNS): Joint Investigation Team which probed corruption allegation against Prime Minister and his family has also declared ex-interior minister Rehman Malik as “cunning and untrustworthy” person.

The probe team termed this title on basis of Malik’s statements which he recorded before the investigative panel.

Report says that Malik’s statements have misled the probe team as ex-interior minister had failed to produce concrete evidences against PM and his family.

JIT report says that  Ex-minister  did not have any solid proof of Sharif’s money trail added that  Malik had not  contributed anything to the JIT’s probe and his claim of giving tax documents to NAB were  bogus.

The report also stated that Malik statements  were political motivated and the PPP Senator had lied about submitting tax records of London flats – owned by Sharif family – to NAB.

JIT report concluded that Malik’s aim was only political point-scoring.
