Religious Affairs Minister briefs President about Hajj-2019 talks with Saudi authorities

Islamabad, Dec. 12 (TNS): Minister for Religious Affairs, Noorul Haq Qadri met President Dr. Arif Alvi in Madina Munawwara on Wednesday and briefed him about the on-going talks with the Saudi authorities relating to Hajj agreements.

The President welcomed additional five thousand quota for Pakistani pilgrims granted by the Saudi government and he is expected to ask for further increase in this quota during his meeting with the Saudi King Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz keeping in view the latest census in Pakistan.

Pakistani and Saudi officials are also holding another round of talks in Madina Munawwara today to finalize an agreement about providing more facilities to Pakistani pilgrims in the forthcoming Hajj season.

President Arif Alvi and the Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri also visited Rauza-e-Rasool (S.W.W) and offered prayers for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
