Islamabad, July 04 (TNS): Four dead bodies have been recovered while fifteen others rescued when a boat carrying around forty passengers capsized in Tarbela Lake in the Barg Dabderi area of district Haripur.
The boat was on route to Haripur from Torghar. The passengers were mostly residents of nearby villages.
The search and rescue operation is still going on.
The cause of the accident is stated to be overloading.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar has expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives by drowning when a boat capsized in the Tarbela Lake.
He condoled with the bereaved families and sympathized with them.
He said that the Punjab government is with the ill-fated families in the hour of tragedy and sorrow.
