Islamabad: August 29 (TNS): Anti-encroachment Drive being carried out by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) is in full swing. During these operations, illegal constructions and encroachments are being razed in different parts of the city.
In this connection, during the anti-encroachment operations conducted on Thursday, Enforcement Directorate of the Authority with the assistance of ICT Administration and other concerned departments demolished several illegal constructions and encroachments from Lehtrar Road. During this operation, 85 illegally constructed sheds, 55 signboards, 45 fruit & vegetable stalls, 18 iron stairs, 10 tandoors, 07 kiosks, 01 construction material depot and 09 illegally constructed walls were demolished.
Heavy machinery of MPO was used to demolish these encroachments while 02 reserves police contingents were also deployed to cater any untoward situation.
