Governor and Chief Minister attends kashmir solidarity day function at faisal chowk

LAHORE, August 30: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and Governor Ch. Muhammad Sarwar attended a large public gathering organized at Faisal Chowk in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday. President PTI Punjab Ijaz Ch., provincial ministers including Raja Basharat, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Yasir Humayun, Ansar Majeed Khan, Hashim Jawan Bakht, Dr Akhtar Malik, chief secretary, IG Police and a large number of people were present on the occasion. The participants strongly protested against the brutalities of the Modi government in Occupied Kashmir and raised slogans including ‘long live Pakistan’ and ‘Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan.’ Sirens were blared at 12-00 noon. After it, the national anthem was played followed by the anthem of Kashmir. One minute silence was observed and traffic remained stopped. Special prayers were also offered for the success of the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that India’s worst treatment of Kashmiris is unprecedented in human history. Today, the Pakistani nation has given a message to the world that Pakistan is firmly standing with the Kashmiris and both are one. The Modi government has gone to every extent to make the lives of Kashmiris hell in Occupied Kashmir. India, which is the so-called claimant of democracy, has violated democratic norms in Occupied Kashmir and the whole world is watching that every Pakistani is agitating against Indian brutalities. The peaceful protest of the people is writing on the wall for the Modi government and Kashmiris will succeed, he added.
CM constitutes committee to investigate the marriage of a Girl: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken notice of a matter pertaining to the marriage of a girl of Sikh community in Nankana Sahib and constituted a committee comprising of law minister Raja Basharat, energy minister Akhtar Malik and minister for disaster management Khalid Mehmood. This committee would submit its comprehensive report to the chief minister after gleaning facts.
CM chairs meeting to review health sector reforms: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar presided over a meeting at his office on Friday in which different proposals were reviewed for construction and operationalization of hospitals under the public-private partnership. Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that public-private partnership mode should be promoted for the construction of hospitals in future. He directed that a comprehensive business model should be devised to promote public-private partnership in health sector adding that final recommendations should be presented after studying international models. He maintained that the health sector was ignored in the past but the PTI government believes in best service delivery. Special attention will be given to best service delivery through PPP mode, he added. The chief minister directed that strategy should be devised to implement the idea of a health city and final recommendations should be presented to him. He said that new reforms will be introduced for improving the health sector so that the patients could be provided world-class facilities. Secretary specialized healthcare & medical education briefed about the proposed program of construction and operationalization of hospitals through public-private partnership mode. Provincial health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, finance minister Hashim Jawan Bakht, advisor Dr Salman Shah, chief secretary, administrative secretaries and others attended the meeting.
