Islamabad, Sep 11 (TNS): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi says an environment against India’s narrative about Occupied Kashmir has developed at international level.
Talking to media after addressing 42nd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Tuesday, he said international media and world human rights organizations are exposing India’s gross human rights violations in occupied Kashmir in their reports.
The Minister said parliamentarians in Europe as well as the US Congressmen are giving statements one after the other expressing their concern over the situation in occupied Kashmir.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said during his meeting with the OIC ambassadors today, he emphasized that Muslim Ummah should play its role on Kashmir issue.
He said Pakistan always supported Ummah on Palestine issue and hoped OIC will play its role regarding Kashmir.
The Foreign Minister said the real situation in occupied Kashmir will come forth when curfew is lifted.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan apprehended that India can carry out a false flag operation in occupied Kashmir to divert the world attention from Kashmir issue.
He said Pakistan wants reduction of tension in the region, but India is acting irresponsibly.
The Foreign Minister said Pakistan has been taking up the Kashmir issue at all international fora, highlighting the plight of the people of occupied Kashmir.
He said the issue was raised at the UN Security Council, UN Human Rights Council and Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Prime Minister Imran Khan will forcefully present the case of Kashmiris at UN General Assembly session on 27th of this month.

At domestic level, he said, the nation has expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren by observing India’s Independence Day as Black Day as Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Prime Minister will again visit Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren.
