Islamabad: January 08, 2019 (TNS): Capital Development Authority (CDA) Hospital’s Auditory Implant Center for cochlear Implant Services is contributing toward Medical Services in the region as not only patients from all over the country are approaching Capital Hospital for implantation but from neighboring countries are also being facilitated in center of excellence. Up till now the centre has performed more than 300 Cochlear Implant Surgeries of deaf and mute Children and Adults from all over the country as well as from other parts of world.
In this connection, ENT Surgeon Dr. Jawad was called on to CDA Headquarters on Wednesday. Chairman CDA appreciated him for conducting 300 successful Cochlear Implant Surgeries and his services. It was also decided that ten beds will be reserved in the new under construction block for this purpose. The existing Operation theater shall be upgraded and new equipment will be procured for this purpose. Instructions have been issued to Finance Wing to allocate Rs. 40 millions for provision of state-of the-art machinery and equipment for the Department.
