Two undertrial prisoners shot dead, one escaped in Rawalpindi region

Islamabad, July 19 (TNS): In separate incidents in Rawalpindi region, two undertrial prisoners gunned down by rival in police custody in Gujar Khan while one prisoner escaped from court premises in Taxila.

Two undertrial prisoners Muhammad Adnan Altaf son of Muhammad Altaf and Usman Amjad son of Muhammad Amjad were shot dead outside Gujar Khan Session Judge Court on Wednesday allegedly by their rival.

As per report of Mr. Asif Iqbal ASI, Moharar Police Lines Adiala Rawalpindi, the undertrial prisoners were produced before court of Muhammad Aslam Gondal Additional District and Session Judge Gujar Khan, however, when they were being taken back to Bakshi Khana, their opponents fired upon them with a pistol which proved fatal for them and both undertrial prisoners passed away in police custody.

The culprit of firing has been arrested and in police custody.

In second incident on Wednesday, an undertrial prisoner escaped from the premises of civil judge court Taxila

Ahmed Ali alias Sadam was brought in custody from the Bakshi Khana Taxia for the hearing of a case in court of Rao Ijaz Ahmed, Civil Judge Taxila where the undertrial prisoner  break-open his hand cuff and jumped from first floor of court building and made his escape from the police custody.
