Peshawar: Oct 22, 2020 (TNS): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan says Swat Motorway is not just a road but an important package for socio-economic development of the entire Malakand Division.
Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said the completion of the project would usher a new era of development and prosperity in the entire region.
Mahmood Khan said the completion of the project would boost tourism, agriculture and other economic activities in the area.
The meeting approved the construction of Swat Motorway Phase II under a public-private partnership.
The 80 km long road will be constructed from Chakdara Interchange to Fatehpur. The project will be completed at an estimated cost of 60 billion rupees.
