Islamabad: Nov 18, 2020 (TNS): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz has appealed the people to stay away from mass gatherings to avoid falling prey to Covid-19 pandemic.
Talking to media in Islamabad on Wednesday evening, he said the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have postponed all its rallies for the sake of people’s lives as second wave of the pandemic is on the rise.
The Minister said we should refrain from undertaking activities, which can endanger people’s lives and economy of the country.
He said every activity, which has nothing to do with economy must be discouraged.
He said the opposition should also cooperate in this regard to protect people’s lives.
The Minister said decision regarding closure of educational institutions will be taken within two or three days as number of suggestions are under considered.
He said Memorandum of Understanding between ministries of Information and Federal Education is being signed to conduct classes through Radio and Television.
