ISLAMABAD: April 07, 2021 (TNS): On receipt of numerous complaints, the Chief Commissioner Office ICT has issued directions to all relevant departments to bar illegal housing schemes’ offices from booking of plots, marketing and advertisement through brochures, publication material as well as through billboards, hoardings, panaflexes, etc. The directions in this regard have been passed by the Chief Commissioner Office to Deputy Commissioner/ Registrar Coorperatives, Director Municipal Administration and concerned directorates of CDA to take strict action against the violators.
This has been done in order to protect the earnest money of general public. The directions also include warning the general public to refrain from making any booking/purchase of plots in any illegal housing scheme and consult CDA or RDA before making transactions about the legal status of the schemes. Furthermore, the concerned departments shall ensure that all publishers/printing companies shall be asked to verify the status of schemes prior to taking any printing contract from any housing society falling in the jurisdiction of RDA & CDA.
CDA Website www.cda.gov.pk may also be visited for having updated status of the housing schemes in Islamabad. Moreover, it has been further directed that marketing/advertisement of Housing Projects without NOC from CDA is illegal and unauthorized. The advertisers/marketing agencies are restrained from misleading advertising/marketing of illegal housing schemes. The sponsors have further been directed to refrain from marketing and development of Housing Schemes without NOC from CDA.
