ISLAMABAD: July 08, 2021 (TNS): Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed has visited Rawal Water Treatment Plant and directed to further improve water supply in the federal capital. At that time, Sardar Zamri, Director Water Supply while briefing the Chairman CDA about the Rawal Water Treatment Plant and the situation of water and its supply in Islamabad, said that treated water from Rawal Water Treatment Plant is being provided to the residents of Sector G-7, G-8 and I-8. All effective measures are being taken to improve the water supply. From this point of view, four million gallons of water has been added from Simli Dam. Chairman CDA Instructed to the Administration to use all its resources, He said that the water supply should not be affected anywhere in this hot summer season. Because of leakage 2 Crore 70 Lac Gallons Water was wasted which is saved from resolving leakage issues. In addition, all public sector buildings have been required to build underground wells to harvest rainwater.
