Islamabad: Oct 01, 2021 (TNS): President Youth Parliament of Pakistan (YPP) Ubaid Qureshi addressed the Seminar on the Role of the International community towards Kashmir Peace organized by JKSDMI in Kashmir House. He said “Illegally Indian-occupied Kashmir is facing terrible situation since 5th Aug 2019. No one in the world has access to the Kashmiri people except the Indian occupying forces. Indian soldiers are targeting the educated young generation of Kashmiris, detaining them, torturing them mentally and physically, and then martyring them.

Political and social leaders of Occupied Kashmir have been detained by Indian occupying forces since the August 5 incident. There is no country in the world in the 21st century where human rights are not guaranteed except Jammu & Kashmir. The Modi government is taking controversial steps to divert the attention of the international community from Illegally Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir. United Nation Charter I Article I is about the freedom of expression, peace, and rights of self-determination. Indian Govt. failed to implement the first charter by the detention of Kashmiri Political leadership and deprived their basic human rights. United Nations Declaration of Human rights (UNDR) consists of 30 articles that stressed every government to follow such steps to enforce freedom of expression, peace, and justice but in IIOJK situation is worst and not a single article implemented to date.

Unfortunately, Modi’s policy for Kashmiri youth is extremely worrying, the Indian occupying forces are martyring the young Kashmiri generation on a daily basis, depriving them of education, the internet, and global connectivity. Government of India Extremists were allowed to take the place of Kashmiris. Due to which the future of Kashmiri youth is in danger.
• I want to raise a question towards the international community that how can the world be peaceful without the peaceful decision of the International Kashmir dispute. ?
• The international community should focus on giving Kashmiris the right to self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
• It’s important to educate Pakistani and Kashmiri youth about the Kashmir conflict for better representation and engagement.
Overseas Pakistanis including the Kashmiri Diaspora and British Members of Parliament are playing an important role through Parliamentary debates and resolutions at the international level.
Other guests including Federal Minister Syed Fakher Imam, British Members of Parliament Naz Shah, and Yaseen Muhammad, Deputy Secretary General Tabish Abbasi along with Youth and Human Rights activists.
