Iٰslamabad: Oct 14, 2021 (TNS): President Dr. Arif Alvi has called for paradigm shift in world’s priorities to ensure food security.
Addressing an event in connection with World Food Day at COMSTECH in Islamabad on Thursday, he said expenditures of trillion of dollars on wars should be diverted to the welfare of humanity.
The President said without food security Muslim world is under tremendous stress.
He said growing population has also become another challenge to food security as forty percent people in Pakistan are suffering from stunting growth.
He said Muslim countries should share their success stories with one another to uplift the agricultural sector.
He asked COMSTECH to establish a virtual connection for cooperation in different fields.
