Islamabad: Jan 07, 2022 (TNS): PSL seventh edition will start from January 27 in Karachi. The first match of the event will be played between Karachi Kings and PSL 6 champion team Multan Sultan. PSL matches to be held in Karachi and Lahore A copy of the PSL trophy has been decorated outside Gaddafi Stadium to increase the interest of cricket fans. Pakistan Super League season 7 has 20 days left. The countdown clock has started the countdown. Fans, tall pictures of the players, giant temple trophies, countdown clock have been installed outside the stadium to get the attention of the spectators. Portraits of all the Super League captains have also been hung. Portraits of Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan and Peshawar Zalmi captain Wahab Riaz are missing.
Corona SOPs have been issued for PSL 7, according to which 12 fit players will be required for the match out of the 20-member squad and the player who comes positive for Corona Test will remain in isolation for 10 days. The player suffering from corona will be replaced by the players in Secure Bubble, while on chartered flights between Karachi and Lahore, only two teams will travel at a time. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to install boosters in view of the extraordinary situation of the Cove 19.National cricketers and PCB officials have started getting vaccine boosters. Booster shots have been given to officials including Captain Babar Azam Imam-ul-Haq Usman Qadir Naseem Shah and Fahim Ashraf. On the other hand, the rest of the national cricketers are being given boosters in their cities. This month, the seventh edition of PSL will start from January 27 in Karachi, due to which the PCB has decided to give booster shots to all the players.

Under SOPs, the match will be on schedule despite 8 players suffering from corona and the affected player will be quarantined for 10 days while his replacement will be selected from the players in Secure Bubble.
