ISLAMABAD Aug 3 (TNS): Interim-Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad on Thursday.
Presented by smartly turned-out personnel of the armed forces following the guard of honor ceremony, Abbasi formally took charge as the chief executive of the country.
Earlier on Tuesday, President Mamnoon Hussain had administered oath to Shahid Khaqan Abbasi after he was voted as the leader of the House in National Assembly (NA). Abbasi was sworn-in as prime minister on Tuesday after securing 221 votes out of the total 339 in the National Assembly.
