MURREE Aug 3 (TNS): The members of new federal cabinet are likely to be finalized in another session of the central leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) underway in Government House here today.
According to the details made available, former premier Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif were earlier present in Changla Gali. The newly-elected Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has also joined them and other top leadership in Murree to finalize the names of his cabinet.
The meeting will also devise the strategy for the National Assembly constituency, NA-120. The name of Punjab CM is also being considered to contest the election from this electorate.
Let it be known that PM Shahid Khaqan held a long meeting with Nawaz Sharif yesterday, but could not finalize the federal cabinet. The oath taking ceremony of the cabinet was also postponed on Wednesday evening due to the aforementioned reason. The session, which continued for more than five hours, was presided over by ousted premier Nawaz, and was attended by PM Shahid Khaqan, Shehbaz Sharif, former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Pervaiz Rasheed, Ahsan Iqbal, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Mushahid Ullah Khan and other dignitaries.
