IGP went to different parts of the command post and made a detailed review of the steps taken in the command post regarding Muharram. He was accompanied by CCPO Peshawar Syed Ashfaq Anwar, district administration and police officials on the occasion of his visit to the police command post.
CCPO Peshawar Syed Ashfaq Anwar gave a detailed briefing to the IGP with the help of maps and charts regarding Muharram and the security of processions from various Imambargahs. He told the IGP that in the control room, the president and the mourning processions taken out from the city are directly monitored by the eye of the camera. He added that drone cameras have also been linked to the command center through which surveillance has been made more effective.
