Karachi On the directives of Deputy Commissioner of South Karachi, Captain (R) Altaf Hussain Sario, the DC South Office issued a comprehensive report of a week from 1st to 7th December 2023 regarding daily price checking and actions taken against violators. The report, released by a DC office comprising Assistant Commissioners, Magistrates, and price checking Officers, reveals that 172 cases were reported in last week and resulting the fines total amount of 1141500 were imposed against profiteers and hoarders. According to the report issued by DC South Office Karachi, 33 cases were reported in South Karachi’s division Civil Lines and fines amounting 400000 were imposed. In Saddar, 19 cases were reported with fines of amount 168000, while 21 cases were reported from Garden resulted the fines 145000, furthermore, 50 cases were reported in shops of Aram Bagh, in resulting the fines Rs 232000 while in Lyari 49 cases were reported with fines the amount 196500. Deputy Commissioner South Karachi Captain (retd) Altaf Hussain Sario given clear instructions the Souht ACs and administrators of all divisions to ensure the essential commodities for people at official fixed rates and to continue the actions against profiteers and hoarders. Officers of DC office said that operations are carried out on a daily basis to ensure the providing essential commodities to people at the rates set by the government
