Rawalpindi, August 7, 2025 (TNS): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has intensified its actions against real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, launching the auction of several Bahria Town properties at its Rawalpindi office.
According to an official NAB statement, multiple properties have already been auctioned, including Romesh Marquee, which was successfully sold for Rs 508 million. The transfer of funds from the marquee’s sale to NAB is currently underway.
Two prime properties — Corporate Office One and Corporate Office Two — received conditional bids worth Rs 876 million and Rs 881.5 million, respectively. However, NAB noted that final approval for these auctions is still pending.
The bureau also announced that the auction of three properties has been postponed due to the absence of satisfactory bids. These properties will be re-auctioned at a later date.
The asset auction is part of NAB’s ongoing efforts to recover funds linked to corruption and misuse of authority, as investigations continue into the financial dealings of Malik Riaz and Bahria Town.
