Islamabad –28 September 2025 (TNS): The launch ceremony of Kulliyat-e-Qadri, a distinguished selection from eleven books of senior poet, and scholar Allama Tanveer Qadri, along with a Naatia Mushaira, was organized by Markazi Mehfil-e-Naat Islamabad in collaboration with the Pakistan Academy of Letters.
The event was presided over by the country’s renowned multilingual poet, Professor Dr. Maqsood Jafri, while Dr. Arshad Mehmood Nashad graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Guests of Honor included Mr. Shamsheer Haider and Ms. Shazia Alam Shazi, who traveled from Karachi to participate.
Prominent poets from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and other cities attended the ceremony in large numbers, adding grandeur to the event. Well-known poets Mr. Akhtar Usman and Mr. Syed Ali Akbar Abbas (Al-Baseera) delivered insightful speeches on the life and literary contributions of Allama Tanveer Qadri, extending their warm congratulations on the publication of Kulliyat-e-Qadri.
Renowned Naat Khwan Syed Zulfiqar Ali Gilani captivated the audience by reciting Allama Tanveer Qadri’s Punjabi Naat “Wa Raf’ana Laka Dhikrak” (written in Arabic meter), receiving great admiration and applause.
The proceedings of the event were conducted with excellence by Hafiz Abdul Ghafar Wajid.
