Khanewal (TNS) Most Wanted Drug Dealer Rana Tahir Arrested in Khanewal — Major Police Operation Led by Khalid Javed Joiya
DPO Ismail Kharrak: “Zero tolerance against drugs — Law will prevail at all costs.”Khanewal City Police, under the direct command of Circle Police Officer Khalid Javed Joiya, conducted a major intelligence-based operation near Haider City Town, successfully arresting most wanted drug dealer Rana Tahir red-handed. The police team recovered 12 kilograms of high-quality cannabis from the suspect’s possession.
District Police Officer Ismail Kharrak praised the police team for their outstanding performance and reaffirmed the department’s firm stance against narcotics.
> “There will be no leniency for those involved in drug trafficking,” DPO Kharrak stated.
“Those who poison our youth will face the full force of the law — no influence, no exceptions, no compromise.”
He further said that drug trafficking is a direct threat to social order and national security, emphasizing that the police stand as the first line of defense in this national fight.
> “The war against drugs is a war for Pakistan’s future — and we will not relent,” he added.
According to operational details, the raid was planned and executed under the personal supervision of Commander Khalid Javed Joiya, who led the surveillance and tactical maneuvering of the police unit. After several days of intelligence gathering, the suspect was tracked and apprehended through a swift and coordinated action, ensuring zero collateral damage.
Initial investigations revealed that the arrested accused was a key supplier of narcotics across different localities of Khanewal and had strong connections with a wider drug network. Further investigations are in progress, and more arrests are expected.
A police spokesperson stated that Khanewal Police have intensified their anti-narcotics operations across the district.
Multiple recent actions have led to major recoveries and arrests, strengthening public trust in law enforcement.
