Islamabad (TNS) IGP reviews field deployment, orders enhance security measures
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, visited multiple locations across the city to personally assess security arrangements during the holy month of Ramadan. He checked security at masjids and imambargahs during Sehri, and prayer timings and met officers performing their duties, commending them for their vigilance and commitment.The IGP Islamabad encouraged officers performing alert duties to ensure the safety of citizens. On this occasion, he stated that security duties at masjids and imambargahs during the sacred month of Ramadan are of utmost importance. He directed all senior officers to remain visibly present in the field.Issuing instructions to senior police officials, he emphasized that officers deployed on security duties must be provided Sehri and Iftar at their duty points in a timely manner. Despite harsh weather conditions, police personnel remain alert to safeguard the lives and property of the public.He urged all officers to consider their duties as an act of worship, saying that it is because of their dedication that citizens can perform their religious obligations peacefully and rest without fear. Negligence in masjids and imambargah security duties will not be tolerated under any circumstances.He further stated that his officers remain away from their families day and night to ensure public safety. “Every officer is like my family, and it is my responsibility to take care of them,” IGP said. He expressed pride in his personnel who spend Sehri and Iftar away from their children while fulfilling their responsibilities. “I always stand shoulder to shoulder with my officers. Every officer of Islamabad Police is currently present in the field. This is our foremost duty, and this is our worship,” he concluded.
