Islamabad (TNS) UAE delegation visits Safe City Islamabad, reviews modern policing measures According to the details, a delegation from the United Arab Emirates visited Safe City Islamabad. On this occasion, DIG Security Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, SDPO Shehzad Town Muhammad Inzamam, Director IT Atif Abbas, and Assistant Director Abbas Mehdi accompanied the delegation and conducted the visit.The delegation was taken to the central system of Safe City Islamabad, including the Command and Control Center, technologically advanced surveillance cameras, and the Police Operations Center Hall. They were comprehensively briefed on the working procedures and effectiveness of these systems.The delegation was informed that Safe City Islamabad is playing a vital role across various departments through modern technological initiatives, including the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, and the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline.They were also briefed on the performance and effectiveness of Safe City cameras deployed across the city. It was explained that these advanced cameras are playing a key role in ensuring city security, preventing crime, and safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. Moreover, facial recognition cameras have also been installed at the city entry and exit points, which are significantly assisting in identifying suspicious elements.The visit aimed to further enhance Islamabad Police technological capabilities in order to effectively control crime and bring policing practices in line with international standards.The delegation appreciated the modern technological systems of Islamabad Police and their effectiveness. They thanked the DIG Security and the Safe City team for the successful visit. Commemorative shields were also exchanged at the conclusion of the visit.
