Country became safer in leadership of Nawaz: says Info minister

Islamabad, August 12 (TNS): Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb has said it was dream of former Nawaz Sharif to see Pakistan safe and secure and that dream has been fulfilled by the PML-N government under the leadership of ex-Premier.

Talking to media persons after inaugurating the Azadi train at Margala railway station here Saturday, she said that the incidents of terrorism have been brought down by 90% due to sacrifices of the armed forces and the people and now Pakistan is emerging as an economic power.

She said after unfortunate ouster of Nawaz Sharif, now Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will go ahead to fulfill the promises made by the PML-N in its election manifesto and expressed the confidence that people will give their verdict in 2018 elections for the party.

The minister pointed that the rally of Mian Nawaz Sharif was heartily welcomed by the people at every point on GT road and expressed their support to him. She said this spirit of live and affection for Mian Nawaz Sharif cannot be divided.

She said Azadi train depicts culture, national heritage and reflects tremendous development in Pakistan. She said the train “reflects Main Hoon Pakistan”. She said significant improvements have been made in Pakistan Railways.
