Lahore, August 23 (TNS): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday said that her mother is suffering from lymphoma and her treatment has been started.
“My mother has been diagnosed with lymphoma, cancer of lymph nodes, left side of neck in her case. Her treatment begins immediately,” Maryam Nawaz tweeted.
Maryam also thanks the masses who prayed for early recovery of her mother.
“Drs hopeful that since it is diagnosed at an early stage,its curable. Thanku for yr kind prayers. May Allah bless her with complete recovery”, she added.
It was earlier reported that Kulsoom, who is running in the race for the NA-120 by-election, had throat cancer. However, later it was found that doctors in the UK have diagnosed her with blood cancer in its initial stage and her chemotherapy will start next week.
Railways Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Khawaja Saad Rafique had refuted rumours that Maryam Nawaz, Kulsoom’s daughter, will run for NA-120 instead of her mother because of her sickness.
