NEW YORK Sept 19 (TNS): Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif met Secretary General of Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit in New York and discussed Kashmir and Palestine issues.
During the meeting, foreign minister briefed the Secretary General about ongoing Indian atrocities in Kashmir while he also shed light on the plight of Muslims living in Palestine.
Ahmed Aboul Gheit lauded Pakistan’s efforts for promoting regional peace and agreed on raising the issues of Muslims on international platform.
He also invited Khawaja Asif to visit Cairo.
Later, Khawaja Asif held meeting with his Kyrgyzstan counterpart Erlan Abdyldayev and shared satisfaction at the completion of necessary arrangements for CASA-1000. He also invited businessmen from Botswana to EXPO and IDEAS Pakistan.
