E-libraries basic need of modern era sports: DG Sports Board Punjab

LAHORE Oct 14 (TNS):  Director General Sports Board Punjab Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan has said that e-libraries are basic need of the modern era, a press release issued here said.

“The project of e-library has been launched for the first time in Punjab so that our players can remain update with the frequent changes of international sports.

He expressed these views while presiding over an important meeting regarding e-libraries at Sports Board Punjab. Project Director PMU Akram Soban gave detailed briefing about the e-libraries during the meeting.

Deputy Secretary Tehmina Habib, DG Punjab Information Technology Board Sajid Latif, Assistant Director Planning Nasir Malik, Project Director PMU Akram Soban and other top officials attended the meeting.

Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan said the e-libraries are in final stages of completion in various districts of Punjab.

“Our players should remain aware of modern research and everyday changes occurred in international sports and it’s the prime objective of our e-libraries which are being equipped with all modern facilities,” he informed.

DG SBP Muhammad Aamir Jan said the construction work in several districts has been completed. He advised the E-Libraries Project Director to complete the remaining work as early as possible. “No further delay will be tolerated in this regard,” he warned.
