KARACHI, Oct 20 (TNS): An anti-terrorism court on Friday indicted two accused in SSP Chaudhry Aslam murder case.
During the hearing the suspected militants involved in the murder of the SSP including Zafar alias Saeen and Ubaid alias Aabi were produced before the court.
The ATC judge indicted both the accused in the high profile case. The judge read out the charges to the accused who pleaded not guilty. The accused opted to contest the charges framed against them.
Upon this the court issued notice to Investigation Officer of the case and prosecution witnesses for November 07 and adjourned the hearing.
The accused were arrested by CTD police. According to prosecution, the accused had confessed of facilitating the high profile murder and monitoring the officer for the assassin.
The cop was murdered in a suicide attack on his motorcade on the Lyari Expressway in January 2014. The SP and his two police guards were killed in the attack.
