PML-N ready to sign charter of economy with opposition parties: Miftah Ismail

Islamabad, Oct. 22 (TNS): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Economic Affairs Dr Miftah Ismail has said the country’s Gross Domestic Product is much better as compared to past due to the PML-N government economic prudent policies, state media reported on Sunday.

Talking to state-run news channel, Dr Miftah Ismail said PML-N is ready to sign Charter of Economy with opposition parties as like Charter of Democracy.

He said GDP was 2.8 percent in 2013 but it has been more than 5 percent now due to prudent economic policies of the government.

Miftah Ismail said economic reforms made by the government have been resulted in increase of GDP.

He said that measures are being taken to decrease current account deficit.

He said tax collection was improved in the country and have been provided nineteen hundred billion rupees to the provinces.
