Cabinet approves administrative separation of PIMS, SZABU

Islamabad, Oct. 25 (TNS): Amid long protest by hospital staff, the Federal Cabinet on Wednesday unanimously approved the administrative separation of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABU administrative separation of).

The cabinet met in Islamabad this evening with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the chair.

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division briefed the meeting on the proposed bill. The Bill was approved by the Cabinet Committee for Disposal of Legislative Cases.

The Minister of State said that the name of the university will not be changed.

Imam-e-Ka’aba Dr Saleh Bin Humaid also attended the meeting on special invitation.

The Imam-e-Ka’aba thanked the Prime Minister for the special invitation to attend the meeting.

He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are enjoying historical and cordial strong relations since long. He said Pakistan always stood by Saudi Arabia and supported it in every critical time.

Imam-e-Kaaba said that unity and consensus is very imperative to prevent anarchy and destabilization in any country.

Saleh Bin Humaid said that all decisions should be taken with unity and consensus without keeping in view the personal interests.
