Rehman Malik terms Imran Khan’s apology in ECP as result of “fear”

Islamabad, Oct. 26 (TNS): Former interior minister Rehman Malik on Thursday termed Imran Khan’s apology before Election Commission of Pakistan as “fear” of disqualification.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has submitted an apology before the ECP bench.

Imran Khan was accused of issuing contemptuous remarks against the ECP at two separate occasions: in January this year and later in September.

PPP senior leader Rehman Malik, reacting over development, said that Imran Khan apologized for fear of being disqualified by the electoral body.

“Imran Khan was afraid of being disqualified by the commission and tendered apology to avoid ‘Mujhe Keun Nikalla’ saga”, Malik took a jibe at both Imran and Nawaz.

He said forgiveness should be granted to PTI chief who may be have learnt to respect the institutions and the courts of law.

“It was Imran Khan’s first intellectual U-turn” Senator Rehman Malik taunts adding that “Hopefully Imran Khan will be careful in choice of words”.
