Pakistan naval ship PNS Saif arrives at Sri Lanka port on a goodwill mission

Colombo, Nov 05 (TNS): Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, ceremonially welcomed the Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Saif, arrived at the Port of Colombo on Sunday (05th November) on a goodwill visit, Lankan media reported on Sunday.

PNS Saif, a Sword class F22P Frigate of Chinese origin, is 123 m in length and 13.2 m in width. It is equipped with state of the art weapons, sensors and machinery, making it capable of undertaking a variety of maritime operations.

The ship which has a replenishment capacity of 3,144 tons has a complement of 225 members.

During its 4 day official visit in Sri Lanka, the crew of PNS Saif will take part in several programs including friendly sports events organized by the Sri Lankan Navy.

The Pakistan Naval Ship is scheduled to depart from the Colombo harbor on 8th of this month.
