Lahore, Nov. 6 (TNS): West Indies tour to Pakistan – that was scheduled to take place in November-December – has been postponed till next year, local media quoting sources reported on Monday.

Both the Cricket West Indies (CWI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have stayed mum and are yet to announce the dates of the tour.

PCB’s silence has raised many eyebrows on the occurrence of the matches that were told to be started in the first week of next month.

Sources told that six West Indian players including Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo have refused to visit Pakistan for the tour games despite the successful Sri Lanka T20 game and World-XI tour.

The ongoing smog in Punjab, particularly in Lahore, has also contributed in delaying the series, sources added.
