The blast occured when AIG Hamid was going to office from his house.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ramzan and driver Jalil Ahmed also lost their lives while nine other officers sustained severe wounds in the explosion, confirmed Senior Superintendent in Police (SSP) Operations Naseebullah.
