Srinagar, Nov. 23 (TNS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party held a protest rally in Srinagar, on Thursday.

According to KMS, the rally was taken out against inhuman treatment meted out to ailing party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah by Indian authorities at Delhiā€™s infamous Tihar jail.

The protesters, led by party leader, advocate Fayaz Ahmad Sodagar said that DFP Chairman had been arrested in a twelve-year-old fake case to prevent him from fighting for the noble cause of right to self-determination.

Earlier, police raided the party office in Srinagar, arrested its Secretary General Mohammad Abdullah Tari and sealed the office. All the detainees were lodged at Kothibagh police station.

In a statement, Senior APHC leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi also expressed serious concern over the deteriorating health of Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyat leaders languishing in Tihar Jail.
