Islamabad, Nov. 27 (TNS): The Senate, upper house of the Parliamnet, on Monday passed five resolutions.
The first resolution condemned the terrorist attack on a mosque in Egypt killing over three hundred people. The second resolution recommended that the government should make arrangements to set up a branch of National Bank of Pakistan at Mangal Mela of Tehsil Domail in Bannu District.
The third resolution urged the government to make foolproof security arrangements for the pilgrims going to Iran by road via Taftan border crossing. The fourth resolution recommended the government to ban manufacturing, import and sale of toy weapons in the country.
The fifth resolution recommended that the government should take steps to abolish interest on car, motorcycle and house building advances being granted to the federal government servants.
Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafar-ul Haq says all facts about Islamabad sit-in will be placed before the House in a day or two. Speaking in the Senate, he said a discussion can also be held on the issue in Parliament. Earlier, the chair said either the Prime Minister or the Interior Minister should have apprised the house about the deal reached with the protestors.
